The client needed a three bedroom home with a two-car garage and wanted a spa and game room. We did it all, and we utitilized passive solar design. We designed it so that the game room connects the upper level to the lower and captures the lovely hill country view as does its surrounding veranda and spa. The interior is shielded from the harsh Texas sun in the spring, summer, and fall with proper overhangs. Daylight without glare pours in from the clearstory windows which also naturally get rid of the summer heat. 1983.
