Berkeley, California
This historic renovation of the Morse Block focused the interior design on trying to express the cross-cultural fusion of East Indian culture (the existing Indian restaurant) and jazz music (the jazz club in the basement), while the exterior harmonizes with the building’s historic roots. We created a Design Analysis booklet that helped his design receive unanimous approval from the Berkeley Historic Board. Designed in collaboration with Ted Pratt. 1993.
